I am a research student; my work is mostly focused on phase transformations in metals & alloys. I read lots: literary fiction, science (popular & less so), philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, theology. I listen to lots of music: clever electronic stuff, clever indie stuff, singer-songwriters who have a sense of poetry, post-Miles jazz, and non-turgid classical music. I like watching films that make me think or make me feel something.
